| Hwy 55 was an important highway that connected Niagara-on-the-Lake with the QEW, allowing tourists to access the popular destination on Lake Ontario. Hwy 55 ran from QEW interchange #38 northeast to Niagara-on-the-Lake. Despite the importance of this highway, it was downloaded completely in 1997, and today is known as Niagara Road 55, or Niagara Stone Road. |
