King's Highway 40
Highways
Hwy 40 is an important highway that links Hwy 401, Chatham, Wallaceburg, and Sarnia. It runs from Hwy 401 interchange #90 south of Chatham north to Hwy 402 interchange #6 in Sarnia. Hwy 40 originally continued south of Hwy 401 to Hwy 3 in Blenhim, and was an important link from Blenheim to Hwy 401 to Windsor, and to Chatham. Nonetheless, that section was downloaded in 1997.

More to See
A rather strange-looking Highway 40 shield. It is reasonable to speculate that this shield may have been intended for Highway 401, but the "1" was pasted over to cheaply make a Highway 40 shield. (Photo courtesy Chris Beach, HHSO Member 4)
