Autoroute 720
Highways
A-720, also known as L'autoroute Ville-Marie, is a spur highway that runs along the south side of downtown Montreal. The highway runs from A-15 sortie 63 northeastward to the Pont Jacques-Cartier (Route 134), providing a connection from A-15 and A-20 to downtown Montreal and the said bridge over the St. Lawrence River. This highway was originally supposed to be part of A-20.

Autoroute 720 looking westbound at sortie 2, the exit to Rue St.-Jaques, in Montreal. Just west of this exit is the end of the highway, at Autoroutes 15 and 20. The green signs shown, although out of focus in this photo, indicate these autoroutes, and even in Montreal, the sign indicating A-20 mentions Toronto. To contrast this with Ontario, there are no signs anywhere in Toronto indicating Montreal on Highway 401 eastbound. Photo taken 25 November 2003. (Sorry about the night photo)
