The church was planted in 1984 by a Gideonite team led by Dr. Tony See and Pastor Richard Martin from Calvary Charismatic Centre, Singapore before handing over to Pastor Simon Cheong in August 1985. It started with an English Service, followed by a Chinese Service in 1988, and Bahasa Service in 1991. Currently, there are three Iban Outreach church in Bekenu, Tudan and Stapang, Marudi. Over the years, the church has been blessed with many pastors:

Our Genesis..... Victory Family Centre - Singapore

Located at the Geo-centre of South East Asia, Singapore has strategically positioned itself as a financial, information technology, medical, logistical and travel Hub for the Region. Singapore�s small population of 4.1 million and 42 x 23km physical size is eclipsed by its significance and influence. Surprisingly Patrick Johnstone�s �Operation World� states that Singapore has one of the best missions sending ratio�s in the world. Victory Family Centre - Singapore has been at the fore front of this charge outward into the nations of the world. From small beginnings in 1977, VFC - Singapore (formerly Calvary Charismatic Centre), multiplied itself globally (to date about 1000 churches). It is a living answer to the question of �What could one church do if it focused on missions�. This church has intentional strategies designed to implement a God given vision. VFC�s vision it to:

1. To bring glory to God
2. To reach out to the lost in Singapore
3. To minister wholistically to the members in the church
4. To reach out to the lost in the world

CCC Miri is a multi congregation family church. The Main church located at Saberkas Commercial Centre (opposite Bulatan Park) consist of four congregations, an English, Chinese, Bahasa and Iban Congregation. The language pastors (Bahasa, Chinese, Iban) serves under the leadership of the Senior Pastor who is the Overseer. The church has an Iban Outreach Church in Bekenu, Tudan, and Stapang Longhouse, Marudi. The backbone of the church is the L.I.F.E group (Love Instruction Fellowship, Edification & Evangelism) or cell groups ministry, where follow up, discipleship, evangelism and fellowship takes place. There is a strong emphasis for every member to grow and serve where "EVERY MEMBER IS A MINISTER". In addition to Sunday Services, Special/Revival Meetings, Seminars, Sunday Classes, Youth Alive & Kids' Alive Ministry, Prayer Meeting, the needs of members are met as they gather in small, informal group setting. There are 25 life groups of various languages located in homes all over the city. Committed Life Leaders serves as Watchman and the Pastor in the house groups that meet in the week.

Our Senior Pastor
Bro Hii Lu Kuoh assumed the leadership as Senior Pastor of CCC Miri in December 2001. He has been actively involved in the church growth since its early days in the late 80's and has served as a Bahasa language Pastor (1996-2001), Sectional & Life Leader and Worship Leader. He has a burden for indigenous groups and youth. He is married to Sis Ewe Gnoh and they have three children, Charis (17), Joy (14) and Johannen (8).
