Thousands of individuals worldwide are now members of the National Infantry Association. They come from Active, Army National Guard and Reserve Components, retirees and family members who support the mission of the NIA. The Minuteman Chapter is an extension of the National Infantry Association, with dedicated and professional Infantrymen and Infantry supporters. The Minuteman Chapter, through the National Infantry Association is a private, non-profit, and eduactional organization devoted to the role of the Infantry as it plays a part in the security of our nation defense. Through the Mintueman Chapter, Infantrymen from all over the nation build closer affiliations with one another. The Chapter is yet another contributor to the Quality of Life for those who daily place their lives on the line for the freedom of those they serve.
Why Belong?
To support the work of the ONLY organization representing the entire Infantry and the Chief of the Infantry. The combined strength of our membership insures that the Infantry voice is heard by the decision makers.
To share the camaraderie of like minded soldiers and citizens who believe in maintaining the Infantry spirit, and to help recognize outstanding Infantrymen.
To grow professionally through participatioin in Association activities, programs and publications.
To support the growth of the National Infantry Museum and the educational values associated with its contents.
How do I benefit?
NIA Chapters - Chapters are the core element of the NIA and are able to help the Infantry soldier on a local level. Various activities include meetings, picnics and sponsored events.
Awards Program - The Order of Saint Maurice, in five versions, was established to recognize achievements involving the Infantry. The Shield of Sparta-Heroine of the Infantry is awarded to a wife or special female nominee who contributed significantly to the Infantry. A nominator must be a member of the NIA.
Scholarships - To assist members financially with college education expenses and sudden loss situations.
National Infantry Museum - Special funds are used for the acquisition of special items, major projects to enhance our heritage and customs, and expansion/modernization efforts.
Infantry Bugler Quarterly - Is a publication written for and by Infantrymen and their supporters. This newsmagazine gives every member a plateau to communicate with other Infantrymen.
