Update, May 2007!!! Look
Inside The Asylum Choir is now available for the first time on CD as an
import either through Amazon.com or CD Universe. Included are
bonus tracks (see below).
Original release year: 1968 on Smash/Mercury Records. This has not been released in its entirety on cd. See note below.
It has been said that this was the breakthrough album that got Leon
noticed by the public. This album had three different covers.
From
what I can gather, the top two are from the U.S. editions and the
bottom
one is from the UK edition.
The cd release of Asylum Choir II is sometimes referred to as Asylum
Choir, possibly confusing some. The Asylum Choir cd contains all of the
tracks from Asylum Choir II
and five tracks from the Look inside the Asylum Choir
album.
