The CD contains informative liner notes by Leon Russell biographer, Steve Todoroff.
The original LP track list was published on CD in Japan as the Best of Leon Russell.
A new Best of Leon Russell (version 2) CD was released in April 2001 with a much different track list.

This version of the CD is no longer available. It was replaced in 1996 by the Gimme Shelter: The Best of Leon Russell  2-CD set and in 1997 by Retrospective, a single disc CD best of set. The liner notes of each of these collections are a good read.
