Update: PICTURES!!!! Finally. Shown over my Regency Day Dress.

Update: When making a Mr. Darcy Wallpaper I have finally found pictures of the actual jacket, which has revealed that it is not black as I had previously thought, but a deep forest green. As for my jacket, all it needs are frogs. I still havee not pictures, because so much of my stuff needs them and my mom doesn't have that much time.

In celebration of having finished my Blood Red Variation I sat down and watched the entire Pride and Prejudice miniseries (starring Colin Firth, of course) and halfway through the second disc I started to get jumpy - I wanted Lizzie's little green velvet jacket (unfortunatly I cannot find any pictures of it, it is similar to the one on the left, but not exactly). I grabbed my Holkeboer book in hopes that she would bbe able to help me with the pattern. Because of my wide pattern pieces from the gown, I had - and still have - a good deal of leftover velvet. The only regency pattern that Holkeboer had was for a basic gown, which was not what I was looking for. Next step was internet research - Alas no one had an online pattern for what I learned was called a Speencer Jacket. Taking another look at the Holkeboer bodice pattern, I determined that I could indeed adapt it for my purposes. I resized it using my wonderful scanner and spent the next couple of hours taping together pieces.
