| I almost didn't see this banner on my way out of the Boston Lord of the Rings Exhibit. It was hanging with a collection of others from the ceiling. Most of them were banners of Rohan which I had seen before. This one caught my eye, so I sketched it and then retouched the sketch later. The words denote the colors of the banner. Background: Black Stars: Gold Vines: Silver Square: Gray Square Edge: Gold Edge Trim: Silver Later I learne from AlleyCatScratch that this is Gil- Galad's banner as carried during the battle portrayed at the beginning of FOTR. One day when I was bored I also drew a composite banner of this and Arwen's bedroom banner. Tis nifti, I hope to make one of these at some point. |
