ALIBAG FORT

This sea fort was captured by the British in 1840 and a garrison was stationed here for a long time. It is situated 1 Kms into the sea and is west of ALIBAG town

Getting here:-

	Reach ALIBAG by ferry from Apollo Bunder or by road use the BOMBAY- PANVEL-PEN-ALIBAG route and head for the beach.
	The fort is in the sea and can be approached only at low tide or else take a ferry ride to the fort.
