The  2004  Miss  Universe competiton has started! Maricar arrives in Quito, Ecuador for three weeks of pre-pageant activities leading to the Finals Night on June 1st. Will all her hardwork pay off? Maricar : A famous dish in my country is 'Sinampalukang
Manok'. It is a chicken dish.
Question : What is the latest fad in your country today?
Maricar : The  latest  fad  in  my  country  today is the elections. It was over yesterday, I think.
Question : Name a famous artist/singer in your country.
Maricar : Their's this guy who's really a great singer, his
name is Jay-R.		 Question : Name a famous tourist spot in your country.
Maricar : Boracay is the most famous tourist spot in the Philippines. It's great, fine sands... you should see it.
Question : What is the greatest misconception about your
................country?
Maricar : The greatest misconception about the Philippines is that people think it is not safe there. We have 7,107 islands;
you should be there.
Question : Same something in your own language.
Maricar : Okay, 'Mahal na mahal ko kayong lahat,' which means 'I love you so much.'
