Heartbreak for the Marconi Stallions last night, as a stoppage time goal by Mike Valkanis gave the Adelaide City Force a slender win at Marconi Stadium. Shining Marconi youngster Alex Brosque once again added his name to the score-sheet, making his mark in the 57th minute. The Stallions led much of the match, before Mike Valkanis cancelled out the score line in the 72nd minute.
Nick Budin then shocked the crowd of 2800, scoring in stoppage time to give the Adelaide side a 2-1 lead, and secure their first win of the season.
Marconi Stallions now sit bottom of the NSL ladder, yet to record a win. Adelaide City Force move up to forth position.
