The much awaited return of the National Soccer League season is finally upon us. Marconi finished close to the Wolves on the 2001/2002 table and both clubs will be hoping to get off to a good start.

The Stallions have the home ground advantage, and that should be enough for Marconi to take the first points of the season. The two clubs met at the start of last season, and after a late kickoff, the Stallions held the reigning champions to a 0-0 draw.

This time around Marconi are favourites to win and hopefully will play accordingly. Another boost for the Stallions is the addition of Raul Blanco as senior coach of the 1st team. A big win over the former Champions would be a great start for the great man.
