"Maria?" Danny yells as he enters the kitchen.
A small woman, their maid, scurries into the kitchen, via the pantry.
"Si, Senor Santos?" she says.
"Have you seen my wife?"
"No sir. She has not been in to talk to me."
How odd, he thinks. Michelle usually makes a point to say good morning to Maria. Something weird is going on.
"Maria?"
Maria stops, having been on her way back out of the room.
"Si?"
"Do you know what today is?"
Maria laughs, her eyes bursting with mirth. "Si Senor."
"What is it?" asks Danny, with hope in his eyes.
Maria laughs again. "It's Saturday Senor. I can tell you know more."
"You know and you won't tell me!" Danny sighs dejectedly.
"No Senor. I am sorry. I promised your wife I wouldn't tell you," giggles Maria, obviously loving holding a secret over his head.
"Women!" huffs Danny, going off in search of his breakfast.
Laying on the table, at his stop, is a pack of Strawberry Pop Tarts, his favorite, and a bottle of water. Picking up the pop tarts, he almost misses it, but there is another tiny card laying under them.
"Michelle, what in the devil are you up too?" he asks as he picks up the card. He opens in and sees a brightly colored card with words all over the front.
It says:
"You're truly the cutest, you drive me insane! I love every inch of you, ankle to brain! Your arms curled around me, just brings out a roar! And your kisses! Yahoo! Ooo-la- la! GIVE ME MORE!" He laughs at the absurd cards front as he opens it.
There he reads:
"Hey baby! Isn't this card too precious? I hope your breakfast is good! Would you do me a big favor? Go over to my friend Bill's apartment? He has some things I need. Could you pick them up for me? Please? He'll be nice, I promise! It would be such a huge help! Thank you! I love you! Michelle"
Danny groans at the thought of seeing Bill. He never did like me being with Michelle, he thinks. Oh well, I guess if you really NEED it Michelle. Danny heads upstairs to get dressed. "So much for a Saturday at home relaxing," he grumbles.
