Painting Challenge

By Erin

Michelle sighed in frustration and attempted to push a strand of hair out of her eyes which only served to streak her forehead with a strip of bright blue paint. "Dammit!" she muttered as she wiped her hands on a paint covered cloth.

She stared at the easel in front of her with hatred in her eyes. "I hate this."

"Hate what?"

She swiveled her head at the sound of her husband's voice. He had just woken up and still looked sleep rumpled. He had pulled on a pair of black slacks, but that was it.

Michelle's mood immediately brightened.

"Morning, beautiful," Danny said, coming forward to place a kiss on her forehead. He pulled back when he noticed the blue smear.

"Are you painting the canvas or yourself?"

Michelle playfully swatted at him."Shut up. This is frustrating enough as it is."

Danny studied the easel and the table just beyond it. "You're painting breakfast?"

Michelle sighed and squinted at her subject."Trying to.I'm supposed to be doing a still life and since this stuff was already out..."

"You decided to do a masterpiece on coffee, Cheerios, and an apple?"

Michelle sighed again as she started mixing paint on her palette. "Something like that. Tell me again why I decided art would be a good elective."

Danny stood behind her, massaging her shoulderes, his chin resting of her head."It looks pretty good, so far."

Michelle gave a derisive snort.

"Yeah, sure."

Danny laughed and kissed her cheek."I'm serious. Technically, it's good."

"Technically?"

"Well, it's hard to really capture the essence of a bowl of Cheerios, Michelle."

Michelle put down her paintbrush and turned to face him. She was wearing an old shirt of his, deep green, that barely skimmed the top of her thighs. When she turned, the motion inched the shirt up even higher and Danny groaned inwardly.

Michelle looked up at him with raised eyebrow as she said, "So my painting is boring, is that it?"

Danny tried not to smile. "Well, kind of..."

"What do you suggest I do?"

Danny smiled in earnest then, a plan formulating.

"I want to paint you."

Michelle laughed and twined her arms around his neck. "This is my project. You can't paint a picture of me."

Danny picked up a paintbrush and began twirling it around in yellow paint.

"We're taking a break from your homework. And I didn't say I wanted to paint a picture OF you. I said I wanted to paint you."

Michelle's heart began to beat a little faster and she could feel a blush spreading across her whole body.

"What do you mean?" she asked in a husky voice.

Slowly, Danny began to unbutton her shirt.Michelle shivered a little as he parted the material with his hands and gazed at her.

In one graceful motion, Michelle shook the shirt off her shoulders and Danny smiled as he picked her up in his arms."Now you're getting it." he murmured as he carried her to the table where her still life subjects sat. Apple, coffee mug, and about a million Cheerios went flying as he swept the table clear and laid his wife down. He left her for a moment and returned with her brushes and palette and a glass of water.

Michelle raised herself up on her elbows and laughed, a deep throaty sound."This is a little kinky, doncha think?"

Danny laughed too. "Just wait."

He sat down beside her prone form and dipped the brush into a splotch of white, then the red. Michelle watched, almost hypnotized, as he swirled the colors together to create a pale pink.

"I've told you countless times how beautiful you are, Michelle," he began in a voice that poured over her like honey."But have I ever pointed out the things that are the most beautiful about you?"

Michelle could only mutely shake her head.

Danny smiled down at her, his eyes dark."Well, I'd better show you."

"First, there's this hollow that runs down your stomach..." Michelle gasped as Danny slowly ran a stripe of pink down that groove.

The brush tickled slightly and the paint was cold, but she felt shockwaves going all the way down to her toes.

Danny seemed pleased my her reaction and, after dipping the brush in the glass of water, began to mix a pale gold.

"Then, there's the curve of you hip..."

A gentle curving line of gold ran along that curve and Michelle had to bite her lower lip to keep from moaning.

He had another brush now, this one a soft purple.

"The arch of your foot..."

Michelle giggled and curled her toes as he swept the lavendar against the bottom of her foot.

"The line of your collarbone..." Pale blue.

"The dip in your waist..." Seafoam green.

"The swell of your breast..." Pure white and a soft cry from Michelle.

"And of course, that sexy smile..."

Michelle was so caught up in a sensual haze that his words almost didn't register. Almost.

Her eyes flew open just as Danny was about to place a paintbrush coated in bright red against her lips. Michelle gave a startled cry and grabbed his hand. "Why you-you..."

Danny threw his head back with laughter. "Gotcha!"

His laughter was cut off my the pressure of Michelle's lips on his. Their lips and tongues met eagerly, but without frenzy. There was no rush.

When they parted, Danny gave her a lazy smile and began to move his hand down her body.

But Michelle giggled and pushed him away."Oh no you don't. I have a painting to finish and I'm feeling rather...inspired."

Danny groaned, but let her go and got up off the table.

"What are you going to paint?"

Michelle laughed again as she sat back down at her easel, totally naked, but utterly unembarrassed.

"You'll see." she said with a teasing grin.

Danny looked as his wife as she began painting enthusiastically and felt a smile tugging at the corner of his lips. Naked, hair curling down her back, and covered in paint, she was the sexiest thing he'd ever seen. And he was the luckiest man in the world. He moved to stand behind his wife again and laughed out loud when he saw what she was painting.

The remnants of breakfast and the paint smeared table.

"I'm going to call it 'Morning Distraction'"

Danny laughed again and kissed her soundly.

"A true masterpiece."
