Sarah's Consummation fic
She is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen, his angel, Michelle. And she loves him.
He's known this for weeks, but the reality of her standing here beside him, with a smile she can't quite suppress, is about to overwhelm him.
He brushes a stray hair away from her face, his hand trembles at the touch of her skin. They are so close, he can feel the warmth of her body, see the rise and fall of her chest as her breathing comes more rapidly. They have waited so long.
Have I always loved him this way, she thinks? It feels like it. Here, in her husband's arms, it's as if she's come home. With her head against his chest, she can feel is heart. She presses closer, never wanting to let go of him or of this moment. She feels his heat. His arms tighten around her. And her smile widens. They have been through so much, waited so long. The anticipation is making her heart race.
She is sitting on the edge of the bed - their new bed. Do you like it? he asks her. He is afraid she'll think he's trying to push too hard. She kisses him. It's beautiful, she tells him. So are you, he tells her back, kneeling down so he can look into her eyes. He can see himself in them. Not the man his mother wants him to be, not the man he's afraid he has become, but the man he is. Her husband.
She is smiling at him again. Suddenly, like a dam breaking, they are kissing with lips that are hungry, devouring. Her fingers shake, trying to unbutton his shirt. He helps her pull it out and take it off. Then he reaches behind her where she sits and slowly unzips the dress. He lowers the shoulder straps, kissing her shoulders.
The dress falls in a puddle around her hips and she pulls him to her. They are finally together, skin to skin, heartbeat to heartbeat. They lay back. Their hands find each other, fingers intertwine. They've waited so long. It would take more than exists in heaven and earth to stop them this time.
