Everyone stared at Carmen. Their search was now over but so might be their lives. They had found what they were looking for: the truth. Would they have to give their lives for it? What Cassie and Michelle had discovered shattered everything that Danny and Greta knew about their lives. It made them people they were taught not to be: brother and sister.

Danny shouted at his mother to drop the gun but all she did was cry that she had no choice. The truth was out. If she did not want to be punished for her crimes she had to get rid of them. Her gum was pointed right to Michelle, who surprisingly simply stared at Carmen for a few seconds.

�I should have killed you when you came into my house begging for forgiveness for Mick�s death!� she said through her teeth.

Greta was in tears on the couch as one of Carmen�s men held her still. The other man was holding Danny back.

�You�re going to lose everything Carmen. Whether you kill us or not.� Jason told her as he leaned on Cassie.

Carmen�s eyes filled with tears as her dillema became tougher by the second. Danny was in tears as he saw his armed mother threaten Michelle.

�Michelle!� he shouted as he tried to break free from Carmen�s man.

They had come to Paris to help Greta find her past and what they had found was something that changed all of their lives. Yes Greta found her past, but Danny also discovered the missing links of his. Michelle had a deeper understanding of Danny�s childhood. As Carmen stood before her, all she could look at was Danny�s eyes shining with tears. She saw herself in them. Each and everyone of them had found something they did not expect to find. While they truth may set you free, they had yet to get to that part.

�Why did you do it Carmen? Why are you doing it again?� Eric asked.

Carmen simply glanced over to him and then turned back to Michelle.

�You never forgave yourself for killing your own husband. You will never forgive yourself if you kill us now.� Michelle said trying to hold her tears back. �You will lose everything, including what is left of your family.�  She added.

�No Michelle. You destroyed my family. All of this started the day you came into our lives�� Carmen said almost trying to convince herself of this.

�This all started when you shot your husband to death in this very living room!� Cassie shouted back.

�Look all the people you dragged into this Michelle�Jason�Mrs. Layne�This teenager�� she pointed at Billy. �How does it feel to be responsible for all of these people�s deaths?� Carmen asked. �I wonder how your mother would feel about that? Would she be proud of you?� Carmen asked almost smiling.

There was an intense silence in the room as Michelle let the tears fall. She had been holding them back but the simply mention of her mother made her break.

�It�s over Michelle�and there�s nothing you can do about it.� Carmen replied after a few minutes.

She lifted the gun higher and Cassie and Jason grabbed Michelle by the shoulder. Jason puller her closer to them as though it would make them stronger against Carmen. Danny fought the man who was still holding him back with all the strength he had. Eric, Pilar and Billy stood in the entrance, unable to do anything to help their friends. Time seemed to stop for a few seconds as they all exchanged a pained look. It had come to this� 

�You are right Carmen. It�s all over.� A voice said with determination and hate.

Michelle suddenly reopened her eyes and watched the man standing in the doorway.

�Jack!� Nikky exclaimed in tears. She shared a look with Greta, who seemed surprised yet grateful that Nikky and Lucky had not listened to her and had called the police anyway.

Carmen turned around and saw the policeman holding a gun to her head. 

�Drop the gun!� he ordered and Carmen hesitated in tears. �Drop it!!� he ordered again as she slowly put it down on the floor. At the second she did so four police officers rushed in and grabbed her by the arms.

�You are under arrest for murder, attempted murder, kidnapping�and well..you know the rest don�t you?� one of the man said almost in exasperation. �You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law.� He added as they handcuffed her and her men.

Danny rushed to Michelle who was in tears and in shock. She immediately fell into his arms, grabbing him by the neck as tight as she could.

�I love you�I love you�� he whispered in her ears as she silently sobbed in his shirt.

After everything that had happened, they still had each other. Michelle clung to him with all the strength she had left. Tears of relief and mixed emotions rolled on Danny�s face as they simply held each other. He softly brushed her hair as he slightly pulled back, looking at her knee and head.

�Are you alright?� he quickly asked seeing her bleeding knee and sensing her being very weak.

�I�m alright�Are you?� she added in a soft whisper seeing the hurt in his eyes as they spotted the policemen talking to Carmen.

Danny did not answer that. He simply pulled her closer to him and wrapped his arms around her shoulder. He had never been this scared in his entire life. Not knowing where she was, if she was alive or if she was in danger had been killing him slowly. He had never wanted this to happen. Never could he have imagined that his mother had anything to do with Greta�s past, yet he had been wrong. Carmen had threatened all of their lives once again. Danny simply kissed her cheeks and then her lips softly as he let the tears out.

Eric pushed two police officers aside and locked eyes with Greta. She broke in tears as he bent down on his knees beside the couch and took her in his arms.

�I was soooo scared.� She whispered as she burried her face in his sweater. 

�So was I� he added pulling away a little. �Do you have any idea�� he started but words failed him.

They shared a very intense look and Greta managed to smile to him.

Nikky ran to Jack and jumped into his arms like a little girl waking from a long nightmare. Jack welcomed her with a smile of relief.

�Oh my god Nikky�� he sighed as he held her.

�I thought you�d never come.� She cried as she playfully hit his shoulder. When she let go of him he looked into her eyes and smiled. Jack had been searching for nikky for weeks in Europe with hundreds of other policemen. Before Jack spoke she lifted herself up on her toes and brought her lips to his. She gave him a soft kiss on the lips. When she pulled away she just smiled and said:

�I just always wanted to do that and for a while never thought I would ever get the chance.� She confessed. Lucky walked towards them and Nikky wrapped her arms around his shoulder and pulled him in for a big hug.

"Thank you Lucky..." she whispered. "If I ever have to be trapped in a place like that again it has to be with you." she smiled.

"Hey...You are NOT going to ever be trapped like that again." Jack rectified and Lucky and Nikky smiled. Through it all, Lucky and Nikky had become good friends and somehow it had helped them make it through.

"I just want to go home now..." Lucky said as Nikky nodded.

Pilar rushed towards Danny and Michelle and she jumped to Danny�s neck. Danny sighed as he held his sister.

�I was so scared.� She said and her brother�s arms comforted her.

When she pulled away she grabbed Michelle by the neck. Michelle�s first reaction was one of surprise as Pilar shed a few tears, holding her. 

�Thank you�� Pilar whispered to Michelle before pulling away and smiling to her.

Michelle never really knew why Pilar was thanking her. The specific reason had never been addressed but she smiled back to her sister in law. An unspoken understanding had been reached in this embrace.

Jason almost fell to the floor as he tried to walk towards the couch. He grabbed Cassie�s shoulder with one hand and the wall with the other. His wound was bleeding which worried Cassie.

�We need a doctor!� she shouted as ambulances and police officers rushed in and out of the cabin.

Jason simply looked at Cassie who carefully helped him stand up. 

�Here�� she said taking him closer to the couch.

But Jason stopped walking. He softly turned her around and looked at her for a few seconds. He softly brushed her face with his right hand and kissed her, softly at first then with more intensity. Her hands were cold and her leg was still hurting but for thirty seconds everything went away and all she could feel were Jason�s warm lips on hers. When he finally pulled away, Cassie looked at him a little surprised. When she regained her thoughts, she simply smiled to him. He smiled back.

�I�ve been wanting to do that for some time�� he confessed as she helped him sit down on the couch.

�What took you so long?� she teased with a smile.

The doctor quickly came towards them and started to check out Jason�s wound and Cassie�s leg.

But something was missing�.something was not quite right. Some things were not falling into place properly. Danny and Greta suddenly locked eyes and a flood of emotions passed through them. They simply looked at each other from across the crowded room.

�Where�s Mac? Where�s Dietz!?� Billy quickly exclaimed as they all looked at each other.

Carmen�s face turned pale all of a sudden.
