Hours had passed since Pilar had called them. Danny had been certain of Dietz's betrayal and Pilar tried to calm him and Eric down, but they seemed furious against Dietz, thinking he was the one who had told Carmen where Michelle and Greta were. Pilar assured him that Dietz wouldn't have done that and tried to explain what might have happened but Danny remained suspicious.
Although Michelle disapproved with the way they were planning on finding Greta she had to admit that their plan was far better than nothing at all. They had put their heads together to come up with a plan to get Greta back from Carmen and Stephano's clutches.
What had started as a search for Greta's past and how her mother was connected to the Santos had turned into a rescue mission in itself. Michelle held a dear secret that she hadn't been able to break to Danny for he hadn't given her the chance. Right after Pilar called telling him of their plan to find Greta, he, Eric, Billy and Mac had left.
Michelle knew she should have told Danny the truth right at the moment they got reunited but she couldn't. Being in this cabin and feeling the secrets so near to her she couldn't break the news to Danny that not only were the Santos' involved in the Von Amberg drama but Gina's secret life also held secrets that would rock Danny's world.
Cassie, Jason and Michelle had stayed at the cabin in hopes to find some more clues between these old walls. Michelle had told Pilar about the password in the Sancorp computer system but Pilar and Dietz had no idea what this password could be.
There was a big fog outside, although the rain had stopped once again. Michelle was sitting on Greta's bed. She took the small article she had cut out of the pile of clippings Pilar had brought from her pocket and stared at it for what seemed eternity. Cassie soon entered the room and sat beside Michelle. After some chatting about Michelle's bruises their conversation turned to the article Michelle was holding.
"What's that?" Cassie asked taking the article carefully.
"One of the few clippings Pilar brought. I forgot about putting it in my pocket.." Michelle answered.
Cassie returned the article to Michelle and then looked up to her eyes. She immediately knew something was wrong.
"What is it? And don't tell me nothing 'cause I won't believe you.. What's wrong?" Cassie inquired.
"I just.." Michelle hesitated a little before continuing. "I just don't think we should be staying in this cabin. I tried telling Danny that but of course he won't listen because he thinks we're all safe here.." Michelle said almost to herself.
"Well we are aren't we?" Cassie replied.
Michelle turned around, playing with her hands.
"Wait..What makes you think we're not safe? Michelle..What?" She added at the sight of Michelle's face.
"There's just this possible chance that maybe Carmen does know about this place.."
"What makes you think that? If you know anything you can tell me."
Michelle couldn't hold it in any longer she had to tell someone.
"Danny's father was killed here." She finally let out. "Everyone always thought it happened in Springfield but he was killed here and no one has ever known how or why.."
"By here you mean in Paris?" Cassie asked reluctant.
"I mean here in this cabin..So yes Carmen must eventually know about this place! She must know..I think." Michelle answered only assuming a possibility.
The corridors were long, the lighting faded and the doors endless. Pilar walked slowly on the dark carpet, before stopping near a small window. She took her cell phone out and dialed Danny's number.
"Yes.She is with Dietz. Are you ready?" Danny asked his anger showing in her voice.
"Danny..." Pilar started.
"What is it? What's wrong?" He answered sensing reluctance in her voice.
"Nothing..I am ready." She said.
"Be careful. I wouldn't forgive myself if anything." he started.
"Everything's going to be just fine. I can take care of myself..I'm just worried about Michelle and the others at the cabin that's all.." Pilar answered.
At this very moment she felt someone standing behind her. She quickly turned around to come face to face with Carmen. Pilar almost dropped her cell phone on the floor at the sight of her mother but held on to it the best she could.
"Are you sure??!!" Cassie said chocked.
"It was all there in print..We found the entire article on the internet. Actually Mac found it, but still I couldn't bring myself to tell Danny before he burst out of here." Michelle sighed with a twinge of anger in her voice.
The girls talked a little more and then later on started inspecting the room. No one had really looked for clues in this room. Michelle suddenly opened an old drawer and found a small key hidden under a piece of wood.
"What do you think that leads to?" Michelle asked as Cassie inspected the key closely.
"I don'T know.What is locked in this cabin?" She pointed out inquiringly.
Michelle suddenly grabbed the key from Cassie's hands and quickly got up, leaving her with a pain in her sides.
"Michelle you shouldn't even be moving like that..Are you ok?" Cassie asked.
"The shed." she whispered before heading straight towards the stairs.
"Michelle!" Cassie shouted. "Would somebody slow that woman down." Cassie sighed as she ran after Michelle.
