The Personal Prayer Journal of Ray Santos

Entry Two

Sunday, June 6

Danny has taken a drastic step. Carmen promised to legitimize the business, and Danny has forced her hand. He did so without her knowledge, and Im sure that this angered her, to say the least.

I hope that Dannys efforts do not fail, however, I must be honest and admit that I have real trouble believing that Carmen would go along with such a transition, even for the love of her children. Her children Almost comical.

Danny wants to believe in her, and I cannot fault him for that. He wants to believe that she loves him enough to do this. He wants to believe that she would protect Pilar at all costs. Carmen has painted a beautiful picture for them, but it is not a true reflection who she is. She shows them only what she wants them to see. Danny is beginning to see through her, although I fear it will take drastic measures for him to finally admit the truth about Carmen. Drastic measures that I can provide.

The truth is, I do not believe that Carmen will ever give up the lifestyle, for anyone or anything, including Danny and Pilar. Her heart is full of greed and hatred, and it consumes and destroys even the love she claims to have for her family. Family again, almost comical.

I will not allow her to destroy Danny. I will fight for him, whatever it takes. She has no idea the depth of my knowledge concerning the Santos family. She has no idea the damage I could do. It isnt that I relish the thought of hurting her, but I wont think twice about using what I know to protect Danny.

Dannys father had good intentions as well, and it was Carmens greed that cost him his life. She poisoned Mick to the point that there was no hope of redemption for him. Danny will suffer no more at her hand.

No more.

Danny and Michelle will have a happy ending, a life of love. I will see to it.
