Unlike today where movie trailers can cost millions, give away the whole film and sometimes are events in themselves, ACO only had one movie trailer. It was just one minute in length and had a subliminal feel by showing quick cuts of the film while flashing one word descriptions to the 'William Tell Overture'. It is brilliant and this page shows you how it was cut. The actual trailer starts out with the title Stanley Kubrick's Clockwork Orange on an orange background with the X and later R ratings. This sequence is not on the trailer on the DVD. It was initially rejected by the studio because Pablo Ferro, who made the trailer, inserted a few frames of the rape scene. A WB studio head felt it was in bad taste even though it was IN the film.
