| Goliath and his trusted friend (who later is named Hudson - Awakening Part 3) goes on a mission, but the sun rises before they get back. When night fall comes again Goliath goes back to the Castle Wywern, the castle he'd sworn to protect and finds that his clan has been destroyed by Vikings. Goliath finds the humans who lived in the castle and saved them from the Vikings but it was too late, the humans believed that the Gargoyles betrayed them. Goliath soon finds out that four other Gargoyles were still alive, they were down where the eggs of Gargoyles were kept, they were they as a punishment for harrassing the humans. Those Gargoyles are later named Brooklyn, Broadway, Lexington and Bronx. In fury, one of the humans, a wizard, casted a spell on the four other Gargoyles and Goliath's trusted friend. When the humans found that the Gargoyles were innocent, the spell that was to undo the spell was destroyed by the Vikings. As a last wish, Goliath asked the Princess of the Castle, Princess Katherine to protect the Gargoyle eggs and place him under the spell. For 1000 years the six Gargoyles layed on the castle as Gargoyle statues. The wizard, Magus, said that the spell would be broken when the castle raised up in the clouds. A rich man, David Xanatos, bought the castle and took it to New York city, where the Gargoyles were reawakened. In this new life the Gargoyles became friends with a human, Elisa Maza, a police detective. Once she befriend the Gargoyles, the Gargoyles started their quest for citizenship of the city. They received new enemies and allies. Now living in New York, the city is their castle and they protect it with many occasions of helping Elisa bring down the bad guys. Before their enemies became known, they found out another Gargoyle survived the ambush 1000 years ago, Goliath's Angel of the night. Who admitted that she helped the Vikings ransaked the castle but didn't expect them to destroy her kind. Now she blames the human society for the death of her kind. Later Goliath finds out that Demona, his old angel of the night, knows wizardry and that she is immortal. Goliath, Elisa and Bronx travel to a mythical place, Avalon and meets up with Goliath's daughter, Angela, who returns with him back to New York. Now at the end of Season 1 and 2, the Gargoyles are trying to have their names cleared and live in the society like regular people. (In a lot fanfictions the Gargoyles have been execpted by the humans and a LOT of fics, Goliath and Elisa pursue a relationship.) At the end of the Goliath Chronicles they are finally excepted by humans as part of society. Index |
