| The Goliath Chronicles 1. The Journey - Knowledge of the Gargoyles spreads beyond a small circle of friends and foes, and now they must deal with a world suddenly aware of their existence. An anti-Gargoyle group called The Quarrymen is organized to rid Manhattan of their presence. Goliath and Elisa get chased by the Quarrymen. Goliath also decides what must be done for the good of the Gargoyle clan. This is the only episode that MacBeth makes an appearance. He tries to reason to reason with District Attorney, Margot Yale, that Gargoyles are protectors. 2. Ransom - Xanatos� baby son, Alex, is kidnapped, and Lexington, who is very attached to the baby, feels partly responsible. An unscrupulous mayoral candidate, Pat Doyle, accuses the Gargoyles, and attempts to galvanize public opinion against them for his own political gain. As Xanatos and the Gargoyles frantically search for the baby, Lex risks his life to save him. Fox would do anything to get her son back even to bargin off a Gargoyle. 3. Runaways - Brooklyn feels unwanted, and falls in with a group of runaway street kids. Goliath and Elisa, in the middle of trying to stop a deadly crime wave, lead the Gargoyle search for their lost friend. In the end, Brooklyn realizes that running away solves nothing. He also makes the runaway street kids that running away isn't the answer. 4. Broadway goes to Hollywood - Believing that it will help humans to accept the Gargoyles, Fox takes movie and TV aficionado Broadway out to his beloved Hollywood to try to make him a star. He discovers the price of fame. Jackel and Hyena try to make Broadway destroy Hollywood. 5. A Bronx Tail - Bronx is stranded hundreds of miles from Manhattan in rural Pennsylvania. He saves the life of a farm boy, whose people lead a simple, sheltered life. But Bronx has been sighted in the area and panicked residents attempt to hunt him down. At first, the boy hides Bronx, but then decides to try and get him back to New York. 6. The Dying of the Light - When a pro-Gargoyle group is attacked by Quarrymen, Hudson�s remaining eye begins to fail. He fears that he will soon become useless to the clan. But his blind friend, Jeffrey Robbins, helps Hudson find treatment, and helps him discover that, sight or no sight, Hudson will always be of value to his friends. Jeffrey has already found that Hudson is a Gargoyle. 7. And Justice For All - Goliath, wrongly accused of a crime, insists on having his day in court to demonstrate to humans that Gargoyles can live with them and respect their laws. Manhattan goes crazy. Elisa helps track down the real criminals. With the help of his public defender, Amy, Goliath goes to prove that he is innocent and he will not go and try to cheat his way out of court. 8. Genesis Undone - The robotic Gargoyle clones, originally created by Xanatos and Dr. Sevarius to fight Goliath and his clan, are deterioating. Goliath is repulsed by these unnatural enemies, but he faces a moral dilemma -- how can he let these creatures, cloned from the remains of his Gargoyle comrades, die? Should he work with Sevarius to save them? 9. Generations - Despite Demona�s evil past, Angela believes that her mother can be redeemed. The other gargoyles, especially Goliath and Brooklyn, try to convince her that her mother will never change. But Angela has to try, and she actually touches Demona in a way that neither she nor the gargoyles will ever know. 10. For It May Come True - Having become weary of the endless struggle to help humans who despise him, Goliath, who's hanging on to dear life on an edge of a building, being shot at suddenly wakes up to find himself human, married to Elisa, with loving children, living happily and safely in the suburbs, and working for Xanatos Enterprises! He soon learns that Queen Titania allowed Goliath's greatest desire come true, in a dream. Does Golaith choose to stay human in an alternate universe or does he go back to his and remain a Gargoyle? 11. To Serve Mankind - The Illuminati, a mysterious cartel of ruthless, power-brokers from around the globe, abduct and torture Goliath, Lexington, Broadway and Brooklyn. They brainwash Goliath into believing that a peace-loving European leader is to blame. Goliath becomes an unwitting, would-be assassin. Can his friends stop him before he throws the world peace process into chaos? 12. Seeing Isn't Believing - 13. Angels In the Night - The Quarrymen lure the Gargoyles to what seems to be their death -- and blame them for the damage. But Xanatos has tricked the Quarrymen. The Gargoyles live -- though they are bewildered and shaken by the public�s happy reaction to their "destruction." Meanwhile, Angela and Bronx, who escaped the attack, have been taken into custody and are being sent upstate for questioning. John Castaway, the Quarrymen leader, goes after the train to finish off Angela and Bronx, endangering all of the passengers on board. When Goliath and the other Gargoyles save the train, they finally gain public recognition as the noble creatures they are and are finally excepted into the human world once again. back to Episode Guide |
