Revengers

Avengers Reassembled Sorry for my tardyness... To be fair I had a rather nice deconstruction report all made out and than my computer decided that it would like to freeze... So here is the uber short and sweet version. Sense they wouldn't let me at Worlds I hope Pat will let me do it here!!! THANK YOU BRANT for the mad card pool hook up!!!! If it wasn't for you there would have been no Worlds for me!!! Ditto's for Ernie!!! I also gotta give another shout out to everyone in Top 8 and Brian for taking it all!!! (I hope to see ya in Indy!)

So without further ado here is the deck list that got Will and I to Day 3.

I will skip the no brainers and go straight to the frequently asked Q's:

Jessica Drew ◊ Spider-Woman, Secret Avenger: She was added rather late into our list, We first actually had 4 Punisher and 4 Cable and I didn't like Cable as a 4 of. I read Jessica Dew and Will and I both noticed that she had both flight and range!!! An added bonus if the situation ever arose we could fix our row if we had to much blue.

Cable, Secret Avenger: Pat actually asked me this after our match and was confused, after I explained to him it was tech against the Hulk match-up it all came clear. Since Hulk can generally kill on turn 5 we found that stealing the game from Hulk is always a plus. It would also force the Hulk player to waste a [Righteous Anger] right there thus being unable to kill on 5. Later on after Day 1 we realized it was tech against the stall decks who would enjoy locking down our larger dudes... (except when they have nullifier...)

Finishing Move: Again, majority of our deck was tech'd for the Hulk Smash deck. We found that chopping Warbound triggers made our match-up way stronger as it got closer to there kill turn.

Our Gauntlet

Hulk Smash, Concealed.dec's, WF variants, F4, Radioactive.dec's

Hulk Smash: Again, this is what we tech'd for which is why we opted for chop affects and Cable over more pumps... Torch on 4 is crucial and being able to swing on 5 (thus winning the die roll) You cannot under drop on 3 since green scar will just flame trap your board after a timely RA. 60-40

WF variants: These decks don't tend to get online till 4 with either Wonder Woman, Batman, no cost-Supes, etc. So the idea is again on 3 under dropping and facing as much damage as possible against the decks that rely on 3-drop Batman if you can [Skreeeeeee!] and chop 'em your in good shape. Although 5-drop Supes from DCL becomes a problem... 60-40

IG Concealed: We weren't concerned about MKO. I had a feeling it would have a large showing after Pat's success with it in MW:NY. We already had an 80-20/90-10 success rate against all the concealed decks... The problem for them was we were just pressing WAY to much damage to them in the face while they were trying to chop all our dudes... Also our chop affects would cripple there decks to a point where they would not be able to catch up in the damage as well as board presence...

F4 We had to [Skreeeeeee!] and chop there 3-drop so that we wouldn't have to worry [Force Field Projection]. Other than that, Torch would take care of things as the plan was to under drop on 3 with Cap and Dagger with win out with the early damage race. 65-45

Radioactive Man.dec: You have to chop there 3-drop that's just plain and simple... No chop and it gets real rocky... 45-55 without chop 55-45 when you do.

The Cards we were fiddling with but didn't make it in zero hour were...

Crackshot: It was good against the radio decks as it was a 1 threshold pump that lasted for the turn... It was also great against any potential reset like affects if we tried to trade-up.

Blinding Rage: Matt's results seem to speak louder than words as we watched him through pump after pump against all his opponents... (even me...)

Switching Sides: This was actually in the deck as a 4 of at first than we found that we would really like to chop things a lot earlier... Though jacking a dude in theory was nice, however being able to remove a 2-drop preventing the team-up on 3 was just to crucial as well as Warbound triggers etc. (to us at the time anyway...)

So this what I would have the deck look like if I could do it all over again for worlds...
