*Plankeye*

"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?"-Matthew 7:3-4

Plankeye has gone through a lot of changes over the years, but yet they still remain THE Plankeye. They started around 8 years ago, with the cd "Spill". Then came "The Spark" and my favorite cd of their's "Commonwealth".

Commonwealth is pretty much pure rock and roll. I love the lyrics to this cd, because they are so honest and open. It's almost like reading through someone's diary. (The song playing in the background is off of Commonwealth, the song "B.C.") My favorite song on this cd is "Who Loves You More?" where the chorus repeats "There is nothing to worry about, because who loves you more, than Jesus." The song "Struck by A Chord" says "Wounded again by my broken silence; Love's become a noise, as my tongue's on fire. My heart consume, struck by the chord of pride; Woe is me I shall come down, I shall come down.... Precious blood of Christ, bring death that I might see Life.."

After the release in 1998 of "One and Only" Scott Siletta (lead singer and founding member) left Plankeye because of touring pressures, and Adam Ferry left to pursue youth ministry. Luis and Eric kept on with Plankeye, though, and released "Relocation" (A fitting title). The first (and only) time I saw Plankeye play was in February 2000.. they sounded as good as I imagined they would. Eric and Luis are doing a wonderful job keeping Plankeye going, and there is a new cd coming out in February.

I can't complain by Plankeye

I told you once before (so like it or not) you're stuck with us.
Because "we ain't going nowhere", not this time-
the stakes are far to high.
Oh no....... here we go.....

Up ahead I see the land; His promise. Ain't it grand?
But I keep getting stuck down here (here).
Oh no........ here we go......

Will the spark light up the sky?
Or will these waters run a dry?
Feel the curse that calls me man.
It's in my blood it's in the land.

I can't complain and all my bills have been paid. Thank You so much for all the wonderful.
