Trends in media usage in Sweden:

- Usage of TV increases slowly. From 1990 to 1999 it rose from 79% to 88% of the population. - Morning press fell back to 72% in 1999. It had a temporary increase in 1998.
- Evening press has fallen from 40% in 1980 to 28% in 1999.
- Internet usage continues to rise and 31% accesses the Internet an average day, up from 20% in 1998.
- The usage of weekly/monthly press and specialty press has been relatively stable for a couple of years.
