Shakespear's Sister Siobhan Fahey

A kisekae doll by Mariano Lago (a.k.a. M_Lake)

This is my first Kiss doll. It is both based on Siobhan Fahey --former Bananarama member and Shakespear's Sister leader-and my girlfriend Eva --who resembles Siobhan very much!--. It took a lot of designing, and plenty of work and ideas to complete the sets. I tried dividing the set by topics, so here is a little explanation:

Set O: this is the presentation. If you press the "10 signs" button, the Siobhan or the Marcy pictures and the silver "sacred" heart it will make different things.

Set 1: This is mainly based on Siobhans clothes through her career. Included are the outfits she used in "I don't care", "Break my Heart" and "Venus" videos. There is also the catsuit she wore on many live performances and videos. And some clothes which are very '80s and she might have worn in the Bananarama era --I'm not much into Bananarama, so I'm just guessing--. And Samuel Hurricane too!.

Set 2: This is a kind of "Haute Couture" set. I borrowed some of the designs -and some ideas-from designers like Alexander McQueen, Karl Lagerfeld and Ives Saint Laurent.

Set 3: In this set you can dress Siobhan as some famous characters from fiction and reality. There is a Catwoman suit -which is not like the Catwoman from the comics, neither like the ones from the movie "Catwomen from the moon", but has some resemblances to both-, a Daytripper costume -she is Nightcrawlers girlfriend in the X-Men comics--, an Irish Fairy outfit, Vampirellas costume and a kind of Cicciolina set :).

Set 4: This set has some clothes for different jobs, hobbies and occupations. There is a Queen, a rollerskater, a stewardess, a ballerina, an undercover agent and a kind of warrior.

Set 5: This is the pret-a-porter set. I've included lots of things here, some of them copied from my girlfriend's wardrobe, and some other I designed because I thought she might look cool on them.

Set 6, 7, 8 and 9:
Here I tried fitting all the clothes in the other sets. This is a test field for new styles and cool mixes. And this is also intended for your combining pleasure. I hope you have much fun here!.

Last of all some thanks:
First to Siobhan for making such great music and being an artist ahead of their time. Second to Eva, a constant source of inspiration. Then to the people at Otakuworld for making such a great page, especially to Dov Sherman for his step-by-step guide, and to King in Yellow for the useful tutorials. I would also like to thank the people from the Shakespears Sister mailing list -especially Mike- for keeping us up to date on Siobhan and Marcy news.

Finally some considerations:
Please feel free to make any additions or expansion sets to this doll. The only thing I ask is to let me know about this before or after the changes to the set.
I adapted the base doll from Sailor Mercury doll in the game "The 3D adventures of Sailor Moon". I also stole some clothes from the game.

It would be very cool if any Marcella Detroit or Bananarama fan developed Kiss sets for Marcy, Sharah and Keren. You might want to try it. It's really cool. I had a wonderful time designing Siobhan doll.
