ERF-1 (McPherson L.A. et al., 1997)
Gene: TFAP2C maps to 20q13.2.
mRNA: size: 2.7 kb.
Protein: a 48-kDa transcription factor (binding the GCCNNNGGC motif) related to AP-2 alpha and AP-2 beta. AP-2 molecules could be involved in the overexpression of
c-erbB2 in human breast cancer cells (Bosher et al., 1995).
