This dish is probably one that Aunt Ann was best known for, although she made everything taste great. There are no amounts listed because that is the way she cooked.
SHRIMP SCAMPI ANN CALABRESE
Approximately one cup of seasoned breadcrumbs, salt and pepper, oregano, parmesan cheese. Mix well and add one crushed garlic clove. Add a little white wine until breadcrumbs stick together.
Devein and clean shrimp. Cut a slit on the inside of the shrimp and place vein side down in a buttered 13x9 inch pan. Fill each shrimp with the bread crumb mixture. Melt one cup of olive oil together with one stick of butter. Mash 5 cloves of garlic, add to oil and butter and cook for 5 minutes. Pour mixture over shrimp.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Pour one cup white wine over shrimp and continue to bake for 5 minutes.
