WINNER: Tank rocks Matua like a hurricane in one of the UFC'S most infamous KO'S in the UFC. Matua hits the matt and starts to convulse. He turns out to be okay but that doesn't stop Tank from making fun of him. Tank is the Ultimate UFC badboy. Accept no substitutes. Tank is also the first to wear the open handed gloves that are now regulation in the UFC.
Paul "polar bear" Varlens Vs. Cal Worsham
WINNER: Worsham is a lot shorter but comes to fight. The bigger (6 foot 8 and three hundred pounds) takes out the smaller guy in an all out brawl. Thus begins Varlens reighn in the UFC.
WINNER: Smith crunches Moncayo but does not contiue due to the runs. This ends his little stint in the Octagon...
Oleg "the russian bear" Taktarov Vs. "dangerous" Dave Beneteau
WINNER: Beneteau gets caught in an submission and taps. Oleg moves on.
Paul "the polar bear" Varlens Vs. David "tank" Abbott
WINNER: Vintage Tank! Tank pins Varlens up against the cage and hammers him in the head. Then looks up and smiles to the crowd. After the win he tells the announcer not to show him highlights of the fight because it was getting him sexually stimulated. Classic Tank.
Oleg "the russian bear" Taktarov Vs. Anthony "mad dog" Macias
WINNER: The announcers let it slip that Macias and Oleg are friends and that Macias doesn't want to fight Oleg. Oleg wins in 9 seconds...hmmm...interesting.
Ken Shamrock Vs. Dan "the beast" Severn
WINNER: After squaring off for a while Shamrock wins by choke. The first superfight champion is set...Ken Shamrock. Now we can say we knew him back when he was booed for winning by ankle lock. Sniff...more memories...
Oleg "the russian bear" Taktarov Vs. David "tank" Abbott
WINNER: Tank comes out big but poops himself out. Taktarov finally gets him in a choke. It takes 17 minutes but Oleg beats the Tank. Great fight for those who root for the underdog.
UFC 6 Champ, Oleg Taktarov. Interesting note....tank walks out of the ring but for precautionary measures the winner, Oleg, is carried out ona stretcher. No one can say that Oleg Taktarov held anything back in UFC 6.
UFC 6 goes back up the mountain. This time Casper Wyoming saw the birth of Tank Abbott into the Octagon. Tank is still the UFC'S most active fighter. He has participated in more matches and more UFC'S than anyone else. Also saw the first champion of a superfight after last one's draw between Royce and Shamrock. On a more personal note, this is the first UFC that lyleonline ever saw, Oh, the memories...
