This movie is dialogue driven. Stallone walks from set to set talking to people so you don't get the thunder here. The car chases get chance to throw something around you but they don't really do too much. If you need a reason to get this, it's not here.
They try. That's the least that I can say. The truth of the matter is that the movie isn't really worth it but they have features there anyway. There are a bunch of deleted scenes that, after watching, you'll agree with their deletion. Otherwise, the trailer for the original and the trailer for the new one and some tired cast and crew biographies. Who cares about cast and crew biographies? Does anyone not know what movies Sly was in before this one? I didn't think so. Also thrown in the mix is a audio commentary by the director that I won't really ever listen too.
If this is your thing, that's great. As far as I'm concerned it didn't turn out too good for me. The movie is kinda stinky even though I think I see what they were going for and there aren't really any special features. No cool sound. If you need to see it, rent it. Don't bother with the purchase unless you are a die hard disciple of Sly or saw it and liked it. I am not sure how but I'm sure some people really liked this movie.
There comes a time in any fans life when they have to look at what their guy is doing and ask...what the hell? I asked that as I watched Sylvester Stallone play a vegas thug who returns home to find who killed his brother in this movie. I have been one of the few that is confidence in his acting abilities. (must I remind everyone that the man was nominated for best actor for Rocky?) But this movie was a little off. Save a decent car chase and a couple of cool shots this movie is fairly lifeless. The acting is overall is very wooden without much really put into it. It never really gets too interesting. That kinda sucks. It had potential. The truth is Stallone plays a bad ass who isn't really that bad. He's kind of a wuss. He gets his ass kicked by Mickey Rourke..I mean, come on man!
