What are dinos? |
- Dinos are abbreviations for Dinosaurs – "terrible lizards"
- In science, dinosaurs are the gigantic prehistoric (before the age of humans or homo sapiens) creatures that rule the Earth for millions of years
- They can be carnivorous, herbivorous or omnivorous
|
|
Do they eat people? |
- Theoretically, if they are hungry & carnivorous or omnivorous, & they can actually find people to eat at their time, the answer is they might eat people
- However, people are mammals that prosper after the age of the dinosaurs (ended ~65 million years ago), so it is impossible for dinosaurs to find people to eat
- Add in another twist, if the plots of Steven Speiberg in Jurrasic Park & The Lost World are plausible & genetic scientists are lucky & mad enough to use cloning technology to resurrect dino genes, dinosaurs might well roam the Earth again & eat some people along the way
|
|
Do people like dinosaurs? |
- Dinosaurs are creatures, just like any other animals, apart from their sizes, strengths & beastality
- Like people, some dinosaurs are gentler than others; probably these can be domesticated as pets? Others like the Allosaurs & T-Rex are ferocious, probably suitable for jobs done by the ferocious animals around us – zoo exhibits
- Basically, children love dinosaurs, they fear yet love them; I think dinosaurs inspire a sense of wonder, excitement, curiosity & fun in children of all ages; if they are already so enticed by dinosaurs’ skeletons (those prehistoric bones resurrected in museums all over the world), you can bet what they would feel when they see live, animated, moving & breathing dinosaurs on the TV screen

|
Why do people find dinosaurs so fascinating? |
- Seems like you are asking why anyone of us feel curiosity
- Like fairy tales & movies, dinosaurs represent an age distant from us & belonging to a whole new world, but on the same planet Earth
- To scientists & archaeologists, skeletal & sometimes mummified samples of dinosaurs are constantly being discovered & subsequently understood; the whole process of finding & understanding uncovers unending sources of motivation, wonder and excitement for those involved; the spawning of new knowledge of past ages & what we can learn from them are immerse; it is the treasure chest left for us by evolution
- To children, dinosaurs are ceaseless wonder
- To kinesthetic people, their sometimes slow, sometimes swift motions satisfy & appeal to them
- To intellectuals, the evolution of these creatures with bodies the size of mountains & brains the size of apples provides motivation, interpretation & synthesis
- In short, the age of dinosaurs has something for everyone & remember, they are our ancestors leh

Can dinosaurs come alive again? |
- Can a comet crash into Earth?
- The answer is might be, but the chance is of course very small due to the present circumstances of human domination
- But circumstances do change & will change, dinosaurs might come back but not in the form that we are familiar with in museums & documentary series

How can we see moving dinosaurs? |
