Genetic inheritance |
- We are formed by our fathers' fertilisation of our mothers' eggs & borne from the womb of our mothers
- Thus, similar to the object-oriented programming of the software world, at birth we inherit genetic characteristics from our parents as well as subtle changes called evolution
- We live in this fundamental genetic composition permanently
- When the family line is strictly followed by blood (no confusion through single parents, divorces or changes of first names), there will be a complete unbroken chain or family tree from the present generation (us) to our origins
- In isolated areas or places when very few outsiders migrate in, the genetic composition of the population tends towards homogeneity, such as Iceland & Tibet
- If we focus only on the livings, we would see our living elders (parents, grand-parents), our generation & our offspring (children, grand-children) - the future, the present & the past
- Discarding our religious views, prejudices & stigma, genetically speaking, the older people are our own future (we can see our future experiences through them) & the younger people are our past (we can see our past memories through them)
- What are the aches & pains of the old? What diseases or illnesses do they suffer? How do they cope with these? Can we improve for their sake & ours too?
- Do the young suffer the same aches, pains & illnesses as we did? What are the similarities & differences? How do we cope then? Can we make the young better able to cope & care for themselves?
