| The 1958 Bulldogs went 2-7 following their Sun Bowl appearance earlier that year, and Head Coach Warren Gaer resigned. 1959 brought a new coach, a new offense, and a lighter schedule. The Bulldogs nonetheless had another 2-7 season. |
