Other than the frame mounted safety and the turnscrew for the CO2 cartridge, this offering from Crosman is a dead ringer forthe 3rd generation 10mm/40 S&W semi-Automatic pistols sold by Smith and Wesson. This model has a heavy duty plastic frame with a steel internal frame to support the firing assembly and CO2 valve. It is a Semi-Automatic, 8 shot .177 Pellet Only, with a rifled Barrel. It is loaded via a 8 shot round "clip" that fits on a pin when the steel 4 1/4" barrel is tilted up. The one major draw back I found was the trigger. The gun will fire in either Double or Single Action. The Trigger pull in either mode is long and stacks. Measured weight for double action is 14.5 lbs. Single action is a much more user friendly 4 lbs, but the long pull is still required to rotate the 8 shot clip. Each pull of the trigger will rotate the clip one space to the right. Sights are standard notch and post with the rear sight being adjustable for both windage and Elevation. The top of the "slide" which is in fact the top of the tip up barrel sports a pair of grooves for a scope, red dot sight, laser sight, etc. I tried a laser sight on this gun and while it is great fun in low light, the projected dot was hard to see during day time. A Daisy Quick Point sight was also tried and found to work very well. 8 hits from 15 ft. were no problem, fired double action at a 3 1/4 inch metal disk.

As I said before, the pistol is a CO2, the cartridge loaded by removing the right grip panel, and locked inplace via the turnscrew on the bottom of the grip area. Using Crosman Brand CO2, about 60-64 shots were obtained from each cartridge. The Factory listed velocity is 430 fps, but my testing showed this to be rather high for the gun tested. Velocity and Accuracy table is below.

Overall the pistol was well worth the modest price (about 42 Bucks US) and I would suggest getting several replacement 8 shot clips.
