Tom Gange My professional computer CV
|
|
I
specialise in using Microsoft Access as my base software for data
storage/manipulation and complex statistical, metrics and graphs reporting in
completing my various job roles. I have used MS Access for more than 7
years. I
worked on IBM mainframe systems for about 15 years before moving onto personal
computers. I still take IBM mainframe jobs when offered to me. I
started in the computer profession in 1977 after graduating from Control Data
Institute with a Diploma of Computer Operations, and completing a number of
tertiary computer subjects. After
more than four years in computer operations, I moved into computer programming
on IBM mainframes.
From
then on my career expanded mostly into computer contracting into such roles as
analyst/programmer, analyst, test analyst, test team leader, configuration
manager, change manager, QA manager, project manager. As a contractor I take whatever
job is offered to me, giving me quite a diverse range of experiences.
I
have worked overseas in Brunei Darussalam, being one of 6 A/P's to convert the
Brunei Shell systems from imperial to metric measurement, and recently in
Singapore as a test advisor/manager to the Singapore government.
