Project Scope

Systems test the Billing/Marketing subsystem of the Customer Accounting and Billing System (CABS).

The CABS system comprises four separate subsystems - Service Orders, Message Processing, Cash, and Billing/Marketing.

Systems Test Team Leader activities

Team leader responsible for all CABS System Testing from 04/11/85 - 26/04/86.
Managed a team of 8 permanent and contract staff and liased with the Telecom test user team.
Redesigned and standardised the System Test environment, a task which took approx. four months.
Created a comprehensive test schedule that assisted Telecom to automatic the test process as remote job entry (RJE).

Analyst/Programmer activities

Systems analysis and consulting.
writing and modifying MVS/JCL procedures for system testing.
writing menu driven CLIST's to simplify user interface to the Billing subsystem and for specialised data entry purposes.
Developed a database/file backup system to be run at the completion of each System Test cycle, to be used as an archival system for testing by development programmers and user groups.
