As a result of the Brunei government's decision to metricate all Imperial measurements by 1992, Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) needed to convert all major computer systems from Imperial measurement to metric measurement.
Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) provides the services to the Brunei government for the extracting and processing of crude oil from within Brunei and its surrounding territorial waters. BSP is a 49% stake-holder in the oil industry in Brunei.
