Telecom Australia Project AXIS

Main Duties

Installed  and administrated PVCS version control system for use by the Project AXIS development teams.

Created and documented OS/2 REXX programs for the PVCS interface and TCP/IP File Transfer to provide a link from PC to mainframe for batch file transfers

Created and documented the System Test Specification system in MS Access.

Created and documented a system written in OS/2 REXX interfacing to PVCS, to provide impact analysis on source code, essentially cross-referencing COBOL programs to copybooks, and cross-referencing copybooks to programs.

Project Scope

Project AXIS is a major development project to replace Telecom Australia’s existing Service Orders system existing on Honeywell mainframe computers.

Effective 18/04/93, Telecom Australia exercised its contractual right to terminate the agreement between Telecom Australia and the prime contractor, Fujitsu Australia, and I was re-contracted to Telecom Australia. (see next assignment).
