LOUGH LENE GAELS CAMOGIE CLUB

Since Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club was founded in 1986, great empathsis has been placed on the coaching of underage and juvenile players.  This facet of the club is very important, and even with success in adult graded competitions, has not been overlooked, or allowed to run down.  If anything, the quantity and standard of coaching of underage coaching within the camogie club has been first class.  Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club humbly and warmly thank the many people who have managed, coached and trained the various juvenile and underage  teams that have represented the club from and including 1986 onwards.

COMMUNITY

The officers, team management, and players of Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club, are conscious of the fact that the club is part of the local community of Collinstown, Fore and Drumcree , and the townslands that surround them, and therefore cannot stand alone in isolation.  The club has, since 1986, assisted with many fund raising ventures for many worthy causes.

The club assists the Castlepollard based fund raising committee of Our Ladys Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin, Dublin, with their fundraising ventures for that Hospital.  One of these fundraisers is a sponsored swim, which takes place inLough Lene every Christmas Day, December 25th.  The sponsored swim has now become a popular, and well attended event on the social calendar on North East Westmeath.
