For the student's final project, we went on a tour of the Santa Barbara Art Museum. Then the students chose an artist they were interested in and created a picture in the manner of their chosen artist.. Past artist chosen have been Monet, Van Gogh, Escher, and many more. Wyand was a favorite choice this year with the Under the sea pictures you see. Also the Star Wars artist ____________ and Van Gogh was chosen.. One student Katie chose a picture from the 40's called Rose the Riveter.
