Mrs. Shennums 5th Grade The 5th grade painted these beautiful birch trees at the beginning of the school year as a complement to writing lessons about fall. The trees are made by making strips of masking tape on the paper. The moon may be made of tape also. The students used a toothbrush and watercolor paints and 'spatter' the sky and ground with colors as their choice. The tape is removed after the paint has dried and with a thin brush branches can be added to the trees. The bark is created by dipping a credit card in black and brown paint and then scraping it quickly across the trunk of each tree. Enjoy this beautiful Gallery by our class!
