Samwise or Sam as he is mostly known, is the loyal friend and gardner of Frodo. Although he has a simple out look on life, he is always dependable and brave. Sam led a fairly uneventful life until he found himself getting involved with the ring. He plays a crucial part in the fellowship, making a promise not to lose his master and his friend, even in the desolate hills of Mount Doom.
Although he always said that he wanted to explore and meet the elves, Sam really just prefers the comfort of the Shire.
"I wonder what sort of tale we've landed in?"
