A distant cousin and a long time friend of Frodo's, Pippin eventually finds himself as part of the fellowship. Although he is knwon for being clumsy and mischievious, Pippin finds himself showing his worthiness in many situations alogn the adventure, especially when he gets seperated from the rest of the company.
"We hobbits ought to stick together, and we will. I shall go, unless they chain me up. Anyway, there must be someone with intelligence in the party"
