I've been playing in the band since it started. Steve and I used to play in
another band before longwave. My primary function is to play the bass
guitar but nobody really just does one thing in this band.
I worked at a record company... that sucked.
I wanted to play bass ever since I heard "White Lines" by Grandmaster Flash.
I was about ten years old. I didnt' actuall start playing till I was
sixteen.
I can play upright bass. I can hack my way around with a guitar and drums
but you don't want to hear that. I play saxophone pretty awful...you
definately don't want to hear that.
I play a Fender Precision bass and an Ampeg SVT amp. I also have a
Rickenbacher bass that I use on recordings.
To be a rock star... what else is there?
The Ramones, the Clash, David Bowie, the Cure, Iggy Pop/Stooges, The Jam,
Bad Brains
I'd probably still be in a band
I see us making great records that people will want to keep listening to as
time goes by.
Radiohead. I think they are one of the best bands out right now. It would
be great to just be around and absorb everything that they are doing.
When I was sixteen I saw the Ramones. They were my absolute favorite band.
Not only did they make me want to be in a band but they also showed me that
it was possible.
Strange. I think its each of us at our best. I also love the bassline
I'm happy that goods bands are getting popular again.
Nuggets
Searay, the Realistics, Scout, Orange Park
Apacolypse Now, Planet of the Apes, The Blues Brothers
Mike. I think he would have the least amount of dialogue. Besides I think
I can do a good inpression... my friend.
Ever since I heard the calling as a teenager, I wanted nothing more than to
play in a band... and I did. I played in a ton of bands, but when I met the
guys in my band, I knew that I had come across something very special.
I look forward to meeting more of you, when we tour this summer. I'm also
really excited about our new recordings. They sound great so far.
