SRR Ra`KalenChapter Eighty-Eight: Ragnarok brings in the Target
[Inside a jail cell, somewhere on the planet...]

"What an astounding coincidence! Seeing one of my students here when I'm on a mission..." tr'Ragarok quickly thought to himself, and added "To stop those rogues." Donal may have been (quite) crazy, but he wasn't stupid. The bodyguard accompanying the man balked for a minute, and immediately spoke up.

"Regent, this man was found running from a sabotaged power station! I'm certain he's with the same traitors that you had to escape from!"

"Nonsense! Leave me with the Vaed'rehai!" The bodyguard hesitated, and had more than half a mind to just blow away the traitor right then and there. But before the thought could progress, the Regent yelled, "That's an order! Now!" Not wanting to incur the Regent's wrath, the bodyguard stepped outside the cell to keep watch. "So what brings you here, to my planet?"

tr'Ragarok looked up at him, momentarily avoiding the question. "Regent, did that man say? That's sure a step up from your school days."

"Yes, and I owe it all to you. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for your extra challenging classes."

"Always glad to help. I don't know why advanced quantum alterations and their effects on the space-time continuum isn't taught more..." tr'Ragarok shook his head, and concentrated on the task at hand. "Listen, the reason I'm in your sector is that my science vessel was in the area, and when those... despicable... traitors attacked, we answered the call." The Regent nodded dumbly, taking it all in. "And, well, my ship was damaged after I beamed down. We had intercepted communications talking about how the one power station was about to be destroyed. I ran to the rescue, but alas, was too late, and I was mistaken for one of the enemy." tr'Ragarok flashed his pins. "I'm an Erien now, see?" taking momentary pride. "Well, long story short, you're old professor needs you to do me a favor. Communications are sorta screwed up, so I need to get to a communications array in order to contact my ship, see if it's still fighting." tr'Ragarok was a scientist first, but second, he was Rihannsu to the core.

"Yes, of course! Anything for my old teacher!" The Regent knocked on the door, and lead the scientist out. The only one who had remained outside was the bodyguard. The Regent told the bodyguard simply, "Denae (follow)". The Regent lead the scientist down the halls, with a befuddled bodyguard closely following. Finally, the trio arrived a communications array. The Regent dismissed the workers, allowing tr'Ragarok full access to the controls. The Regent began to drone on about his career thus far, but the science officer tuned him out and worked quickly on the controls. The Kalen still couldn't be contacted for some reason, but he did locate the other two main squads. He located the team assigned to kill the man standing several steps away, and pinpointed their locations because Donal knew their com frequency.

He also connected with the transporter systems, and spun around. Just as the Regent finished describing his election, Donal just yelled, "Eureka!" in it's original Greek, which didn't translate too well to the Romulan language, but it didn't matter as Donal activated the transporter. Before the bodyguard could draw his weapon and fire, the Regent appeared before the very people there to kill him, with tr'Ragarok standing close beside. As for the bodyguard, well, he had just "happened" to have reappeared somewhere at a great height. As there was a resounding *splat* several seconds later, tr'Ragarok simply grinned to his crew mates and said, "He never could grasp Hai-san-burgh's effect. I gave him a C-."
