permission!" The doors to tr'Ragarok's quarters shut with a *woosh*,
separating the young science officer from his would-be savior.
"Well, what an exciting day!" tr'Ragarok said to himself. "Computer, begin Chief Science Officer's Personal log, stardate... umm... today." The computer acknowledged the request. "This day has been very informative. First off, I was accosted by some gentleman with a very unique scent. Then, one of them activated THE RAGAROK OMNICUBE ENTROPY QUANTUM GENERATOR (ROCEQG, for short)! I observed the results, but in the next version, I will have to allow for a strange side effect- several of the primitive peoples in the area started chasing me! Fortunately, several of my shipmates were there to help me out.
Apparently, the Cube also created some sort of radioactive by-product as I and my shipmates had to be placed in a containment field of some sort. Fortunately, this gave me time to run through all the adjustments I could make.
Eventually, we got back to the ship, but there is some sort of experiment going on, so I'm not to work on my projects for now. Might interfere with the control sample, you know. Hmm... I wonder what it could be... to the lab!" tr'Ragarok opened his door, and ran to the bridge to observe scanner control, never once occurring to tr'Ragarok to actually shut off the computer recording.
