SRR Ra`KalenChapter One Hundred-Fifty-Six:
Deploying the Troops
< Note that t`Ren is now know as t`Rhenn ((a more Rihannsu spelling for her name)) >

[Oria]

The Major sits stiff- really stiff- in her chair. The Oira is fiercely back lit with throbbing red/orange alert lights. Engineering was almost ready to begin the temporal cloaking - the ship itself already in standard cloak and approaching the main planet in the lowlands region. Rhenn`s lips quirk as her fingers race across the biting green VR display aside her arm, and a simple order wafts out...

[Engineering]

"...Engage"

Ragarok tapped his communicator. "Acknowledged." Silently, he crossed his fingers and prayed to all the elements on the periodic table. From this point on he was all business. "Dropping out of normal cloak, engaging Temporal Cloak now." He utilized the VR display and access in order to accommodate the sheer amount of data he had to take into account. With his eyes closed, he reached out to activate it. "Beginning chroniton stream."

[Oria]

The scream is deafening- the terribly audible noise produced by the rattle of deck and acceleration of space time - all is a blur. The dizzying sensations fade quickly, proving Ragarok sound once again for dealing with problems on the fly.

The Ts`Irk speeds on through the system. She passes, unscathed, through an enormous battle, which is raging over the target planet. Had they not been occupied by all the calculations and the sheer terror of the "experiment" the Oira staff would have marveled at the scene before them. Ships nova in accelerated time frames as the Ts`Irk plunges ever onward into the near future.

"Shuttles away!" shouts the Ops officer. "Rellhai!- I'm still reading tr`Kunto's shuttle- but the other has disappeared!"

t`Rhenn> Science! ::pours the data into her main VR heads up display::

tr`Lar> ::runs a rapid review of the data:: Shuttle bay sensor logs show no chroniton emissions from the second team's shuttle... they must have lapsed back into the present.

t`Rhenn> What would that do to them? ::looks over at the Ops chief:: status on the other parties?

tr`Lar> I have no idea... I'm sure nothing good- but they should just snap back into standard time. I have never observed anything like this, so I can't speculate

OPS> Raith`s forces have completed beaming... tr`Nerik and his team have departed as well.

t`Rhenn> There is nothing we can do for the Rangers now- Helm! pull us out of orbit.

Helm> ::sets coarse:: heading away now rekkhai

The Ts`Irk splits away from her dropped ground forces. Seconds before dropping the cloak and before anyone can breath a sigh of relief the ship is rocked viciously and thrown spinning out of control...
