SRR Ra`KalenChapter Thirteen: Shuttle Assult Team
[329904.20 ]

Together with Meira (who was still quite furious from the earlier insident, though was trying her best to appear calm on the surface) Ruanek walked into the transporter room... a squad of 5 Rei'Kransu was already assembled there and the soldiers saluted the 2 officers as they entered. Ruanek nodded and looked around... Farein tr'Rogarok who was also assigned to his team was no where to be seen yet.

They waited for a few minutes which seemed like eternity. Ruanek used the time to double-check the transporter coordinates, but he could sense the tension in the transporter room quite distinctly. Finally, tr'Rogarok burst in. "Rekkhai," he saluted, "I am sorry for being late."

"No problem, Farein," Ruanek nodded and issued him a disrupter. "Let's get underway," he said motioning toward the transporter platform.

Meira and tr'Rogarok followed him silently and so did the 5 Rei'Kransu soldiers. "Energize," Ruanek nodded to the Eredh at the transporter controls after making sure his team was ready. In the next monent, the green transporter shimmer enveloped him.

As the transporter shimmer faded away, Ruanek found himself in an empty corridor of a Starfleet vessel... the other members of his team materialized beside him. "Farein tr'Rogarok, full scan," he said. "I want to know which way the bridge is."

tr'Ragarok> Aye, Rekkhai. Hey, that rhymed... Oh! The bridge. Right. The ship's schematics are in your...obsolete device there. The bridge is that way. ::points off:
tr'Shaleya> Good. Keep in contact, Farien.
tr'Ragarok> One question... ::holds up his disruptor:: What's this for? ::everyone else balks for a second, until Ruanek speaks::
tr'Shaleya> You mean... It's your disruptor...
tr'Ragarok> A disruptor? You mean I'm supposed to defend myself with this ANTIQUE? Well, I guess the commander and the armory guys know what they're doing. Some sort of ruse, right? To make THEM think we're less powerful than we actually are?
Meira> ::shaking her head::
tr'Shaleya> Yes... something like that. Now... ::trails off as Donal runs over to an access port and begins tinkering:: Let's get going. ::points to the Rei'Kransu soldiers:: You four with us, and you... ::points to the soldier on the end:: Keep an eye on our Science Officer over there.
Rei'Kransu soldier> Protect him?
tr'Shaleya> From himself, maybe. I doubt he'll need any help against enemies. Just... make sure he doesn't destroy the system we're in.
tr'Ragarok> ::talking with himself:: Federation fools! Such simple security... and look at these weapon systems! They're even more out of date then the ship I'm on... what was it called? The Klaxon? That's not important right now. Never should have brought it up. Well, let's see what we can find out... ::maniacal laughter mixed with giggling::

With Meira at his side and 4 soldiers behind him, Ruanek walked through the corridor of the Starfleet vessel - after the flood, it was clear of any enemy personnel all right. They have already changed into SSS armor-suits they have acquired at the armory along with protective masks and a few Starfleet-issue phaser rifles (2 Rei'Kansu were carrying the gear they took for tr'Rogarok and the soldier who was with him) and were heading for the shuttlebay.

With simple override sequence, he opened the shuttlebay doors. "Rr'Ragarok, have you got those access codes?" he tapped his comm device.

"Ie, rekkhai, just got 'em," the science officer's voce came through. "I could've done it faster if not for that guy you've assigned to stand over my shoulder."

"Whatever, Ferein," Ruanek smirked. "Now get to the the shuttlebay *fast*, we are overdue already."

"Aye--"

Ruanek cut the comm and looked around the ship's shuttlebay - it was not a big ship and there were only 2 shuttles parked there. {{Which one?}} he smied at Meira.

{{Mmmmhmmmm... the one to the right looks nicer I think}} she grinned.

{{The right one that is}} Ruanek nodded and headed for the sleek gray shuttlecraft. Quickly, he opened the hatch and climbed inside. While waiting for tr'Ragarok to arrive, he started to familiarize himself with the controls.

After a few mintutes tr'Ragarok showed up. "Reporting as ordered, rekhai," he announced.

Ruanek swang in his seat looking at him. "Command codes?"

"Right here," tr'Ragarok offered him a data chip.

"Good work, Farein," Ruanek nodded taking it and smiled slightly. "Now, put that Feddie gear on," he motioned at the armor-suits and masks piled on the shuttle's floor, "you too, Private. I'll fly... Meira, contact tr'Raith and tell him we are coming." He made sure the hatch was sealed and inserted the chip into the slot.

After uploading the command codes into the shuttle's computer, he had no difficulty accessing the gate controls remotely. After the massive shuttlebay gates slid open, he lifted the shuttle a few centimeters over the deck on antigravs and fired the engines brusting out into space. As soon as he cleared the shuttlebay, he made a course correction taking his craft onto landing approach.

Den had seriously thought she was getting too old for all this running around as she held the riffle in her hands. She returned fire as Raith and the others started out of the building. She had na met Raith before, although she had heard about him, and knew he was to take over one of the new ships.

Den walked into the clearing with the crew, waiting for the shuttlecraft, Den walked over to talk to Raith.

"Would au mind telling me how au knew I was here? I am still a little..surprised about this.." She asked, pushing a lock of hair behind her ear. Raith nodded, his eyes occasionally scanning thier surroundings.

"Ie..but na until we get back to the ship, the craft should be on the way shortly." Den nodded, biting her bottom lip. She was still nervous about the kidnapping in the first place..wondering what SF wanted with her. She figured it had something to do with her associations. People she had na talked to in awhile.

After the shuttle landed, Den turned to talk to one of the crew that had rescued her from the cell.

"Rekkhai...we have taken care of things above and the shuttle is ready to leave.." Ruanek replied. Den turned around and did na recognize the man speaking to Raith, but her eyes widened, a frown on her face as she looked at the young woman beside him.

"Meira?" She whispered, blinking as she moved over to the group. Ruanek turned to look at Den and looked surprised. He looked at her curiously, noting the resemblance to Meira.

"Ie?" Meira turned to see who had called her and gasped, recognizing her aunt.

"Aunt Den!" Meira squeaked, moving to hug her aunt, still very surprised.

"I thought au were dead!" they both replied, laughing as Meira smiled, still very shocked.

"I had gotten word that au had parished on the Kalen from a SSS attack of the ship" Den said as Meira looked at Ruanek, and then Raith.

"It was probably SF propaganda, Aunt. The same with au..we heard au was kidnapped. I had tried to reach Father and ask him about au..but I was...stopped.."

Den frowned, looking at her neice. "Au does na know?" Ruanek stepped close to Meira, watching Den.

"Know what?" Meira asked curiously. Ruanek stepped in and introduced himself to Den.

"Jolan Tru...mehnka to meet au.." Den replied, turning back to Meira.

"Au Mother and Father were killed in what SF Officials classify as an "accident". I could na gather any information from anyone about it..." Meira blinked, looking from Ruanek to Den, shock and pain showing on her face and in her green eyes.

{{Meira? are au alright?}} Ruanek sent to her, worried because she had na said anything, even yelled. The emotions through their bond made him frown, feeling the anger and pain there instead of outward.

"Rekkhai...I believe we are ready to go..." Ruanek replied, looking at Meira. Raith nodded and started to move to the shuttle as Den walked with Meira, who still had na said anything, but kept her features schooled, emotionless. She had even blocked part of the bond between her and Ruanek.

Meira was na sure what to do..but she had said she was na going to make a scene. She wanted to get to the bottom of what happened, she wanted to scream and yell and throw something, but na in front of thecrew. She would wait...bide her time and find out what had happened..then those that did this would pay....

"This will simply not do!" tr'Ragarok shouted. Of course, being the only one inside that particular section of the shuttle, tr'Ragarok was the only one that heard the outcry. tr'Ragarok began pacing around the

"I can't believe a so-called 'advanced' starfleet vessel such as this would not have an apparatus capable of playing a quadrinary quantum Ragarok cube (TM)! I should report this to... to... the proper authorities! First things first, though. I bet the crew needs the information I downloaded onto the cube. Which means I'll just have to make a decoder!" tr'Ragarok stopped, then cracked his knuckles. tr'Ragarok walked over to the desk, grabbed his bag, slung it over his shoulder, then walked out of the shuttle into the middle of a firefight.

Somehow, tr'Ragarok did not get struck by a single shot as he absent-mindedly walked through the fight, picked up the equipment of one of the dead bodies, strode back through the firefight, and began to climb back onto the shuttle. One of the troops turned to tr'Ragarok.

"How did you keep from..."

"Simple," Donal responded, "Utilizing abundant chronitons to make the right change on the quantum level. Simple chaos theory and entropic alteration."

Donal proudly displayed the device in his pocket. "Here, want to try it?"

The soldier quickly grabbed the device, and mere milliseconds later, the soldier was hit in the head by a stray disruptor blast. "Hmm. You didn't do it right." tr'Ragarok casually reached down, grabbed the device, and started to climb back into the shuttle again. "On second thought..." tr'Ragarok reached back down, grabbed the dead soldier's weapon, then finally pulled himself back into the ship. "Now, to decode the command codes of the officers from that Federation ship... they should still be valid until they realize everybody on the ship is dead... Oh, well. Maybe I can determine the algorithm..."

tr'Ragarok walked casually into the ship, narrowly having a disruptor blast miss his head. Donal walked back into his temporary laborotory, and began to theorize...
