Kandeen looked down and shifted his position outwards. "Menkha. On
screen!", he grinned.
"Oira to tr`Ragarok"
"Ragarok here, Rekkhai. What can I do for au?"
"Switch from Long-Range to Short-Range sensors and initiate a scan.
Concentrate on the anomaly"
"Ie, Rekkhai. I'm on it...Ragarok out"
Kandeen peered at the large screen ahead and tried to make out what was
actually the background and what was the anomaly. He frowned at the sight, there was nothing to see at all. Still...
"Magnify!", he barked. But nothing happened. The CO frowned slightly and looked down at Idran, who in turn shrugged but walked over to the operations console.
"Rekkhai, there is nothing wrong with sensors, it could be a technical
problem in the visual receptors..."
Just then, what seemed like a D`Deridex Warbird appeared and disappeared followed by a series of energy discharges at its direction.
"What was that?", yelled the CO.
"That...Rekkhai, was a D`Deridex Warbird. It de-cloaked and re-cloaked to evade a pursuing ship". Nerik said without even referring to his consoles.
The PO had seen enough action to know, and a somewhat arrogance from his direction. Kandeen took at least 3 seconds or more to recover back to his calm composure.
"Kuro, do we have weapons and shields?"
"Ie, Rekkhai", replied the TAC officer as he managed to look up to glance at the CO.
"Do we have cloaking abilities?"
"Ie...but it would not be encouraged that-"
"Do it. Have engineering keep a close monitor on our power systems just in case".
There was a 'look' from Kuro, being so conveniently cut out like that.
Again, Kandeen sense hostility from another crew member. Was it just him? or were Rihannsu officers in general like that? He made a quick mental note to review Nerik's reports.
"Idran, notify the escorts and have them follow us. Make sure they keep their formation at all costs. Signal the other groups and have them meet us now"
