tr'Elq sat in the officer's club, quietly drinking a glass of rhenish. As he stared across a table his eyes met the somewhat distraught counterpoints on tr'Nerik's face. The PO seemed fidgety and anxious. He had asked Elq to meet him here without giving much of a reason why. Mentioning only that he needed to meet with him.
tr'Elq>"So what's on your mind rehkkai?"
tr'Nerik>::fidgets and takes a deep breath:: "Well I've never really talked with you before and I thought maybe we could get to know each other a little.
tr'Elq sat quietly taking in the Arrain's words. He had respect for the
officer he was talking too, but didn't believe him. Not that he thought
Nerik to be sneaking or up to something hmm--unwholesome--but just that friendliness did not strike him as an asset of his character.
tr'Elq> ::nods:: "Well then, can I offer you another bottle of rhennish?
tr'Nerik> Han'yyu.
The two begin to talk about their pasts, but more Elq than Nerik--Nerik
always steering the conversation towards Elq's opinions--about the empire, the rest of the crew, and even the new captain. Despite the tactful attempts of the PO under his reserved nature, tr'Elq still couldn't shake a feeling of distrust about the PO. He managed to answer the questions--properly--if not always with the truth, drinking less than he may have seemed too.
tr'Elq> ::noticing the time:: "Well I must really get going rehkkai, I have duty early tomorrow morning and I feel I need some sleep first.
tr'Nerik: Well then Erien, its been pleasant talking to you. See you in the morning.
tr'Elq> ::exits and moves toward the turbo lift::
Elq still can't shake the feeling of suspicion and knows he needs to talk to someone he can trust.
